In the latter part of last year the bakery team spent some time doing trials of the 'baking bit' of our wonderful tried, tested and much loved Rich Fruit Cake recipe. We regularly receive high praise about how moist and delicious the cake is but we needed to find the sweet baking spot to achieve ultimate deliciousness and ease of cutting.

As a result we have some of the cakes to sell 'of the more moist than easy to cut’ variety. Use a spoon if you need to! Absolutely delicious but undecorated, we refer to them affectionately as "Blanks" :-)

They have a minimum Best Before date of May this year.

How to cut your Meg Rivers Rich English Fruit Cake.

  1. Use a sharp and serrated knife (a good bread knife is ideal).
  2. Cut in a sawing motion from the outside of the cake towards the centre.
  3. Ideally clean the blade between each slice.

Next Working Day (Orders must be received by midday) If you specify a future weekday delivery date, we endeavour to deliver on or just before that date.

Next / Named UK Mainland SATURDAY: £9.50
If your selected delivery date is a SATURDAY you must choose this option. If you specify a Saturday delivery date, we will endeavour to deliver before 4pm.

UK Highlands and Islands: £9.50 - 3-5 Working Days
If you specify a future delivery date, we endeavour to deliver on or just before that date. Please take delivery 1 or 2 days before a special occasion.

UK Offshore:
Includes Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and some British Forces overseas addresses, are sent with Royal Mail. Sadly this delivery method is offered at customers risk due to inconsistency in the overseas Royal Mail service.

Whilst we always make every effort to ensure parcels arrive on customer's preferred delivery date, regretfully we cannot guarantee that parcels will arrive on a specific day or at a specific time. All orders subject to stock availability.

Overseas:
Due to changes in customs regulations and practices, regretfully we are no longer able to send orders abroad. We are happy to send to a UK address to enable you to arrange onward delivery yourself.

Shelf life:
Most of our products have a 7- 10 day shelf life from time of despatch. Please bear this in mind if choosing a preferred delivery date. This does not apply to Rich Fruit products and biscuits which have a much longer shelf life.
